The Round table on "Public diplomacy and social innovation. International cooperation in the BRICS format" was held on June 6, 2017, in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. This event was organized by the NGO "Sail of Hope", the International Alliance of BRICS Strategic Projects, the Commission on Development of Public Diplomacy and Support of Compatriots Abroad, the Institute for System Analysis.
The meeting was opened by Elena Sutormina, the head of the Commission on Development of Public Diplomacy of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation,
Larisa Zelentsova, the President of "Sail of Hope" and BRICS Alliance, held a presentation of the organizations activities for the Year 2016.
Well-known Russian and foreign experts, diplomats and public figures made other presentations.
At the Round table, there was a presentation of BRICS TV, which began broadcasting on June 3, 2017. TV BRICS is an information partner of "Sail of Hope" and BRICS Alliance. They prepare several joint projects.
Definite recommendations on strengthening cooperation between civil society organizations of the BRICS countries is the result of the Round table.
On November 10, 2017, the delegation of the NGO "Sail of Hope", one of the co-organizers of the the Event, was invited by Dalian Maritime University, China, headed by the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Alexander Savoysky, who have read a welcome address from Larisa Zelentsova, President of "Sail of Hope", with wishing of the long-term cooperation. The warm welcome of the University authorities and a constructive attitude for implementation of joint projects, including in the field of youth social policy, are the serious attitude of the Chinese side. The "Round table" on prospects of Chinese-Russian partnership, held at the University, focused on the importance of building an open dialogue between two Great Powers.
On November 11, 2017, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Contemporary Russian Artists" was held in the Exhibition Center of Dalian, China. The mayor of Dalian city was represented by Vice-mayor Wang Hongjun. The main organizer was the company Dalian Ruicheng Culture headed by CEO Wang Haiqing. The exhibition featured more than 110 exhibitors of paintings by contemporary Russian artists. The exhibition closed December 10, 2017.
