This year at the end of September, one of the most significant high-level meeting took place in the United Nations, in the heart of world politics. The world leaders, presidents and politicians attended New York to find out how the Mankind can prevent global issues from epoch-making alterations. The UN 2019 Climate Summit and the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly will influence on future politics, business and international relations of countries, and it is hard to imagine how significant the outcomes of this meeting are.
The UN Youth Climate Summit took place on 21 September at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, as part of weekend events leading up to the UN Secretary-General's Climate Action Summit on 23 September.
The Summit form provided a spectacular opportunity to be involved in real discussion with global leaders and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres about global issues of our time. The Youth Summit was opened with a speech of a Sweden social activist Greta Thunberg and other young leaders.
The main themes were Climate Change, Universal Health Coverage, Sustainable Development, Financing for Development, Poverty Prevention, Disarmament and others.
However, the results of the discussions were very controversial, and this fact shows how it is difficult to find common solutions for resolving global problems in our modern world.
The heated debates between scientists were replaced with the General Assembly where the global leaders tried to find common ground, indicate their position and protect their various interests.
Despite of the difficulties in issuing visas to Russian delegates, the Russian Federation was presented not only by state politicians, but by representatives of Nongovernmental Organizations as well.
After the speech of the Russian delegation leader Sergey Lavrov, excitement arose around him and his delegation. A lot of representatives of international delegations wanted to talk more closely about the views of the Russian party to understand how they see the global political issues.
''Sail of Hope'', headed by Nomma Zarubina, "Sail of Hope" representative in ECOSOC UN, participated in the high-level meeting about Climate Change Challenge. Should be reminded, "Sail of Hope" was in the plenary session on April 2019 ''The Future of Work'', where they submitted reports with their own projects.
The United Nations is a platform where everyone should be heard. Every project, which is represented to the world, should be reviewed. The global polylogue is one of the most complicated issues, which consensus is needed for Peace and Prosperity.
The UN Youth Climate Summit and the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly clearly showed how infinitely many challenges we have and how fast we should react to prevent the global catastrophe.
